Magic of Science & Science of Magic
Sue-Anne Webster was co-nominated Lecturer of the Year at Hollywood's Magic Castle in the USA.
Now, Sue-Anne also brings magic to Year 6 Science in an entertaining presentation with the help of her magical assistant, Dr Heinz Wurlitzer from the Stollen Institute, Austria. Sue-Anne lectures on some of the principles studied in Year 6 science outlined in the Year 6 Science Syllabus.
Students will learn some of the principles of science through a presentation of the very secret theatrical art of magic. When magic is used in presentations and lectures in the corporate arena, the ideas and principals being taught are usually always remembered for life.
The magical arts would not be possible without using the principles of science.
Students will also learn to think like a magician—'outside the box'—applying their minds and imaginations to solve problems and develop new ideas through the revelation of certain magic tricks and illusions. Students may even develop a higher level of confidence when they apply magic to their presentations at school science fairs.
